Jun 08 2005 11 : 06FM L - CO 202 '583199 p. 7
5. Street Lighting: Municipal street lighting does not presently exist along the street
frontage of the annexation area. Under current policy, street lighting Is installed
by the city upon request of area property owners. The City will assume the
maintenance and operation of lighting pursuant the operational budget (revenues
and development fees).
6. Parks and Recreation: No change to existing parks and recreation facilities, or
usage thereof, is anticipated. Existing uses are rural commercial and industrial in
character, which is not likely to change due to zoning, so there will be no affect to
parks and recreation facilities.
7. Storm Drainage: No change Is anticipated to existing improvements or storm
water discharge due to annexation. As development occurs, storm drainage
retention improvements will be required pursuant City Standards. Because there
is currently no municipal storm drain facilities in the area, new development is
required to provide on-site retention of storm water.
8. Water Supply: An existing 12-Inch municipal water line is located in Moffat
Boulevard. New development will be required to connect to the municipal water
main, while existing uses have the option of connecting when they deem It
necessary.
9. Sanitary Sewers: A municipal sanitary sewer main currently terminates
approximately 1!4-mile northerly in Moffat Boulevard, On an interim basis
development In the annexation area can connect to this line via an interim
pressure delivery system. Sanitary sewer to the annexation area will be via a
new sewer trunk main yet to be installed along Woodward Avenue. No change is
anticipated to existing Improvements or sewer service due to annexation.
10.Solid Waste: The City operates Its own solid waste disposal via San Joaquin
County's transfer station, The area in question will receive the same level of
service as the remainder of the City. The proposed project will incrementally
Increase the amount of solid waste generated by the Manteca service area, but
the City operation can absorb this increase. No problems associated with solid
waste pick-up and disposal are anticipated because collection and disposal
service is financed with user fees.
BJC
Dooember 16,2003
