Re: Request to Clandestine Drug Labs, State of California(CDL)for search of records,Reid
Road.
On 4-28-06 Mr. Adam Palmer, (916)255-6572, Office of CDL,replied and furnished information
on a"hit"at 525 S. Reid Road. In January, 2006 a drug raid at the residence found a Meth Lab in
a trailer in the back yard. The chemicals found indicated a Meth Lab operation. All the chemicals
in the trailer were removed however the State does not test the soil or water for contamination.
That is the responsibility of the owner of the property.
It is unknown if the soil is contaminated or the well water is still potable. The 30 acre subdivision
is on the east and west side of Reid Road.
OPINION -
Since the chemicals have been removed, the possible source of contamination with hazardous
materials is no linger present. However the duration of the illegal operation is not known. The soil
may be contaminated with the waste byproduct, and the existing well may be affected.
CONCLUSION
This addendum update environmental site assessment has been performed in conformance with
the scope and limitations of ASTM 1527. The site consists of 30 acres. The update assessment
has revealed no evidence of Recognized Environmental Conditions currently applicable, in
connection with the property, except the following:
The potential for soiUwater contamination from the operations of the Meth Lab exists on the
site at 525 S. Reid Road
RECOMMENDATIONS
The well should be tested for each of the chemicals used in the operation of the Meth Lab. If the
results indicate potable water, no further testing is recommended. If the results indicate
contamination and non potable water, the nearest wells should also be tested.
LIMITATIONS
No warranty, expressed or implied, is associated with this Addendum report. This Addendum
update contains information and data from several sources. The accuracy or completeness of
such data/information cannot be warranted.
1/1
