File No. CO-9024-S01
September 25, 1991
We have reviewed a recent septic tank inspection report from D.A. Parrish and Son, Inc., dated
September 9, 1991, which indicates that the existing septic tank and leach field were exposed
and inspected. This report concludes that both the septic tank and leach field are in good
condition with no repairs needed. A copy of the septic tank inspection report is included in
Appendix A to this report.
Environmental Health Division Records of permits were also examined for properties in the
vicinity of the subject property. The permit information obtained from these records is
summarized below.
Street Address Permit No (date) Leach Field
1) 4820 Morada Lane 88-208 (1988) 270' leach line, 4 - 25'x36" dia. pits
2) 4828 Morada Lane 76-639 (1976) 170' leach line, 2 - 25'x33" dia. pits
3) 4855 Morada Lane 18735 (1965) 150' leach line, 2 - 25'x33" dia. pits
4) 4900 Morada Lane 69-547 (1969) 350' leach line, 4 - 25' x 33" dia. pits
The neighbor at 4820 Morada Lane was interviewed and reported that they have had no problems
with their system since its initial installation. No permits for repair or modifications of the
original systems cited above were found in EHD records.
It can be seen from the above information that existing single-family residences in the vicinity
of the subject property also successfully use leach lines with seepage pits.
Groundwater. Soil Profile and Percolation Tests
The San Joaquin County, Semi-Annual Groundwater Report (Spring, 1990) indicates that the
depth to groundwater at the subject site is in excess of 70 feet.
Records in our files indicate that the soil profile near the subject site consists of primarily
clays within the top 10 feet of depth. Borings conducted as part of this study confirm a clay soil
in the top 3 feet of the soil profile.
One percolation test was performed on each parcel. The approximate locations of the percolation
tests are shown on Figure 1. It should be noted that Test Hole Number 2 was located in an
existing grass area that is watered by sprinklers.
2
