Lee and Associates, Inc.
1137 North McDowell Boulevard
Petaluma, California 94954
RE: Proposed Car Wash at Existing Shell oil Service Station, 7700
Moreland Ct. , Stockton
The Environmental Health Division (EHD) has reviewed engineered
plans for the proposed car wash submitted by Mr. Austin Waters,
station owner, on December 6, 1996. The plans indicate that the
car wash water reclamation system would be connected to the on-
site septic system leach field after the last clarifier tank. San
Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1110. 7 (a) , prohibits
waste water from automobile washing from entering an on-site
sewage disposal system. EHD cannot approve these plans as
submitted. Other options you should consider are an engineered
liner system for the existing stormwater retention pond or
connection to a public sewer system. Please submit revised plans
to this Division for our review and approval prior to
installation.
If you have any questions, contact Greg Oliveira, Senior
R. E.H. S. , of my staff at (209) 468-0341.
Ernest M. Fujimoto, M.D. , M.P.H.
Acting Health Officer
^QA
Mike Huggins, Supervising R.D.
