MOUNTAIN HOUSE PROPOSED MACHADO TENTATIVE MAP 4. ENVIRONMENTAL CHECKLIST
4.5 CULTURAL RESOURCES
required by the MHMP and the County's Development Title. The impact would be less
than significant.
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
d) Disturb any human remains, including those interred outside offormal cemeteries?
There has never been a formal cemetery on the project site. If human remains are found
during construction, construction would immediately halt, and the County coroner would be
called. If the coroner determines that the remains are those of a Native American, a Native —
American Heritage Commission (NAHC)representative would be contacted to determine the
ultimate disposition of the remains and any associated artifacts. The treatment and
disposition may require archaeological excavation and reburial of the human remains. —
Discovery of human remains is not anticipated during construction of proposed project.
Therefore, the impact of the proposed development on human remains would be less than
significant. —
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
SOURCE OF INFORMATION
EDAW. 2005. Final Environmental Impact Report, College Park at Mountain House,
Specific Plan III, Volume I, SCH#2003102074, June 24. —
4-24
