MOUNTAIN HOUSE PROPOSED MACHADO TENTATIVE MAP 4. ENVIRONMENTAL CHECKLIST
4.8 HYDROLOGY AND WATER QUALITY
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
h) Place within a 100-year food hazard area structures which would impede or redirect
foodfows?
Refer to discussion for Item g) above.
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required. —
I) Expose people or structures to a significant risk oj'loss, injury or death involving
flooding, including flooding of as a result of the failure of a levee or dam?
Refer to discussion for Checklist item g), above. The project site is not located downstream
of any levee or dam. The lowest elevation of the project site is higher than the tops of the
levees along the south side of Old River, thus the site would not be subject to flooding if a
levee along Old River should fail.
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
j) Inundation by seiche, tsunami, or mud/low?
The proposed project would not be subject to a seiche or tsunami because the project site is
not located near any large water bodies. The project site and the adjacent land to the south
are almost flat, so there are no terrain features that would generate a mudflow.
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required. —
SOURCES OF INFORMATION —
EDAW. 2005a.
