In addition, depending on the <br /> sequence of construction of the various development projects in Neighborhood A/B, residents <br /> of the proposed project could be subjected to temporary dust and diesel fuel emissions <br /> associated with construction activities. The resulting impacts would remain as significant - <br /> and unavoidable. <br /> Mitigation Measures <br /> There are no additional mitigation measures that would change the conclusions of the <br /> SPHIEIR, and these impacts would remain as significant and unavoidable. <br /> e) Create objectionable odors affecting a substantial number of people? <br /> The proposed project consists of residential, commercial, and limited industrial development. <br /> Limited industrial areas are intended to accommodate modem business park developments <br /> that provide little or no nuisance activities. Typical uses include light manufacturing, <br /> electronics, high technology businesses, and light warehousing(EDAW,2005a). If <br /> necessary,these industrial facilities would have modem air pollution equipment to control <br /> and reduce emissions, including odors,to acceptable levels as determined by the SJVAPCD <br /> and San Joaquin County. Therefore,the proposed project would not include any facilities <br /> known by the SJVAPCD to create objectionable odors. Facilities known by the SJVAPCD to <br /> produce odors include wastewater treatment facilities, chemical manufacturing, <br /> painting/coating operations, feed lots/diaries, composting facilities, landfills, and solid waste <br /> transfer stations (EDAW, 2005b). SPIIIEIR Mitigation Measure 4.12-3 states that <br /> developers shall not construct residences within 1,000 feet of the two dairies until the dairies <br /> cease operation and the dairy waste ponds and animal refuse piles are removed.
