Lh" K L E IN F E L D E R <br /> L 8 EVALUATIONS <br /> L <br /> Kleinfelder performed this ESA of the subject site in conformance with the scope and limitations <br /> of ASTM Practice E1527. In summary, Kleinfelder's assessment revealed the following <br /> fL information about the subject site: <br /> L <br /> 8.1. FINDINGS <br /> LThe following sections describe Kleinfelder's findings and provide a general background <br /> information about the site. Findings include recognized environmental conditions, historically <br /> i recognized environmental conditions, and deminimus quantities, as applicable to the subject site. <br /> IL Business environmental risk issues are discussed in Section 8.3, Deviations. In summary: <br /> L 8.1.1 Background Information <br /> Review of historical aerial photographs and topographical maps along with an interview with <br /> Mr. Charles Spatafore (site owner), reveals that the site has been used for agricultural purposes <br /> Lsince at least 1940. <br /> L8.1.2 Onsite Findings <br /> • An irrigation canal, dividing the site into northern and southern portions. <br /> • Three aboveground storage tanks (AST's), located along the northeastern bank of the <br /> irrigation canal, in the eastern portion of the site. <br /> • Several mobile fertilizer tanks, observed throughout the site. <br /> L • A large soil pile and a wet area located along the northeastern edge of the site. <br /> • Soil piles located along the southwestern bank of the irrigation canal. <br /> L • Three pole-mounted transformers. <br /> L • Two domestic wells and two septic tanks. <br /> L <br /> • An abandoned fishing pond area, located in the southeastern portion of the site. <br /> L <br /> • A below grade PVC pipe system, located along the northern fence line of the abandoned <br /> Lfishing pond area. <br /> 21073.P01 I ST02R761 Page 25 of 31 <br /> Copyright 2002 Kleinfelder,Inc.
