E.
j',534 "'
SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY TFfFC&1.%F
FOR THE .
PAUL AND JACQUELINE POLK PROPERTY
PARCEL MAP NO . MS-92-67
10549 NORTIi JACKTONE ROAD , STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95212
Prepared By
Walter E. Curtis
Civil Engineer
C .E . # 11584
418 Matthew Plaza
Lodi , Caiifornia 95240
Phone : (209) 368-4159
May 11 , 1992
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To divide an existing 51 . 73 acres parcel into
two (2) parcels . Parcel 1 is to contain 41 . 73)
acres and Parcel 2 is to contain 10 .00 acres .
TEST RESULTS :
Pars;el No . Test Hole Percolation Rate Minimum Usable
NO . (Minutes Per Inch) Disposal Area
( Square Feet)
2 P1 8 .0 6 ,000
1) P2 15 . 0 8 ,000
1 P3 60 .0 12 ,000
SOIL PROFILE : No water was encountered in excavating the Soil
Profile Test Hole to a depth of ten ( 10) feet . See
the attached "Percolation Data Sheet" and "Parcel
Map" as well as the text of this report for the
specific soil layer , character , and location details .
WELL WATER ANALYSIS : Well water analysis is required by the
"Conditions Of Approval" letter for this
proposed development but it is not an integral
part of this report . Well and well water
analysis is being done by others and is to be
covered in a separate report by them.
RECOMMENDATIONS : 12 ,000 square feet minimum usable disposal areas
are recommended for both Parcel Nos . 1 and - to accommodate
subsurface horizontal leaching fields . Even though the soil
porosity test results detailed in this report indicate that the
soil will accommodate leach field installations , the rapidly
decreasing rates of percolation in relation to time and continiieci
exposure to moisture shown on the "Percolation Data Sheets
i:ldicat P_s 12 ,000 square feet minimum usable disposal areas plus
pits would be appropriate at the time of construction and
consistent with the facilities installed historically in this
general area as well as exists at the existing homesite on Parcel
No . 1 .
