Jack Tone Rd., Acampo, CA <br /> Original report prepared by Dillon & Murphy <br /> Report dated May 2004, updated July 2005 <br /> To address the requirements of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, we <br /> have prepared an update to the above report written by Dillon & Murphy in 2004 and 2005. The <br /> subject Site is the property located at 23800 North Jack Tone Road, Acampo, California, owned <br /> by Tony Silva & Sons Dairy, Inc. The report by Dillon & Murphy found no sources of <br /> contamination affecting the subject Site beyond the use of the Site as a dairy and the use of the <br /> surrounding properties for agriculture. The aim of this addendum is to determine whether any <br /> new sources of contamination have become present on the Site in the years since that report <br /> was completed. <br /> Interview with Property Owner <br /> Joe Silva, the owner of the Site, was interviewed in person prior to the site visit on June 10, <br /> 2016, and by telephone on June 14, 2016. Mr. Silva indicated that the Site has been in his <br /> family since 1967, during which time it has been used as a dairy. Prior to 1967, the land was a <br /> cattle ranch. Mr. Silva stated that the property is currently leased to Tony Pires <br /> Mr. Silva indicated that the house on the Site was built in 1923, the milk barn in 1967, and the <br /> hay barn in the early 1980s. Four mobile homes are also located on the Site. According to Mr. <br /> Silva, one domestic well, one irrigation well, and five septic systems are located on the Site. <br /> The septic systems serve the house, the milk barn, and the mobile homes, two of these share <br /> one system, he stated. When a fifth mobile home was briefly placed on the Site in the past, it <br /> shared the septic system of the easternmost two homes, he indicated. Mr. Silva stated that a <br /> second domestic well on the Site has been out of service since the new well was drilled, the <br /> pump has been remove rom a op o ewe . <br /> Regarding the various tires observed on the Site (see below), Mr. Silva indicated that these are <br /> used to weight down the silage piles. He stated that the scrap metal stored on the Site is used <br /> for repairs around the dairy and that the brush pile is burned under permit once per year. <br /> Environmental •.
