February 25, 2002
Job Number:LGOI-397
Page 16
rm septic system with leach lines and seepage pits. We estimate that proposed project will not
cause a build up of nitrogen in the ground water above 10 mg/L-N in ground water provided our
recommendations are followed.
Due to the presence of clayey soils, unsatisfactory percolation rates, and limited
` expansion area, the existing eastern septic system is not well suited for a large septic system
expansion required to handle the flow during cherry processing season. We recommend a new
septic system should be located near percolation test P-4 instead. The new area has increased
.. percolation potential and adequate absorption area. It is important the new septic system be
properly sized to accommodate the peak septic system waste water flow resulting from use by
temporary employees. The recommendations for the project are as follows:
1) We recommend constructing a new septic system with leach lines and seepage
pits on a portion of the new property obtained through the lot line adjustment.
The area near our percolation test P-4(Boring B-5) was found to be suitable. The
septic system should be sized to accommodate the expected peak flow from
` approximately 600 temporary employees plus regular staff. As part of a separate
scope of work, our office can prepare you with a septic system design and layout
optimized for the use previously indicated.
2) Follow the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Sewage Standards where
applicable.
IX. LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the
existing and proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as
they existed at the time we excavated our test hole and performed the percolation test. It was
assumed that the test hole and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface
conditions in the general area.
OEt
 oy
Z 4
O '
'SS OLS
