March 8, 2005
Fj
NOA PROJECT NUMBER E04070B
.
8.11 Recording
The Wastewater Pond/Land Application Logbook (Logbook) will be used to document
and record daily observations of the effluent, Wastewater Pond and LAA. The Logbook
should be completed daily whenever processing is occuring. Completed Logbooks
should be filed in the facility for future reference.
The following parameters should be followed when completing the Logbook.
8.11.1 Rain Gauge
F1The rain gauge is located to the west of the front offices. The amount of
precipitation from the previous 24 hours should be measured in inches. After the
reading is documented, the gauge should be emptied/reset in preparation of the
next 24 hour period.
8.11.2 Cooling Tower Drain
This measurement will measure tower drain overflow with a measured volume
F1 over time (e.g. 1 gal/15 feet=4 gal/hr).
S.11.3 Asparagus Hydrocooler Meter
This gauge measures both asparagus hydrocooler drains after they are combined
into one common drain line. The measurement should be recorded in gallons.
a 8.11.4 Cherry Hydrocooler
i
RThis gauge measures both cherry hydrocooler drains after they are combined into
one common drain line. The measurement should be recorded in gallons.
8.11.5. Main Influent Meter
This meter is located in the southeast corner of the facility where the 15 inch PVC
line is exposed in a corrugated metal vault. Consult instruction manual after no
flow conditions for"zero adjustment" calibration if necessary.
8.11.6 Pond Freeboard and Security
Pond freeboard shall be measured in feet. Notes should also be made as to any
Fill odors or growth of any plant matter on top of or around the edges of the pond.
! 8.11.7 Effluent Hour Meter
Data will be recorded in hours from the gauge on the diesel powered engine
F! driving a turbine pump. Total volume can be obtained by recording the operating
 • 8
F!
1
