All of the calculations are based on the site data you have provided to us and on nominal engineering values for the physical parameters. All of the 6-foot tank calculations are based on standard engineering practice. Xerxes uses approaches in a manner similar to the protocols presented in the PEI/RP 100-05 manual to calculate the underground tank Buoyancy Safety Factors. For the RST-II tank calculations, Xerxes uses the approaches presented in the document Xerxes RST-11 Septic Tank Buoyancy Calculations. That document provides a sample calculation that assumes water to grade with 18" total cover (minimum required) from top of tank to finished grade. It is the tank owner's responsibility to determine the suitability and applicability of installation. Our sole responsibility in any installation is as stated in our Limited Warranty.
