L LJune 12,2006 NOA Project Number: E06058A L J 5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS L Should the future residents of the subject property be interested in determining the quality of their drinking water, EHD should be contacted for direction regarding the potential for impacts to groundwater from the agricultural history of the property and vicinity. LThe stained gravel under the truck should be disposed of in accordance with all applicable regulations. L Because no staining was observed in the vicinity of the transformers,the transformer is not considered an environmental threat to the subject property at this time. Should the property owners or the EHD be concerned about PCB contamination from the transformer, PG&E should be contacted to test, Lretrofit, or replace the transformer. /If the existing structures are to be renovated or demolished,a survey to detect lead-based paints and asbestos-containing materials should be conducted prior to any such activities. k1 Any wells or septic systems identified which will not remain in use should be abandoned under EHD ` oversight. Any additional infrastructure or buried debris that may be encountered during site grading `L /or development should be removed and disposed of in accordance with all applicable regulations.J As the site is developed,any stained soil or sources of contamination identified,such as those described in Section 3.3, should be characterized and properly disposed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. /6.0 LIMITATIONS This report was compiled as a Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject property. This report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA in no way warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this investigation by those j sources. Y. It should be noted that when an environmental assessment is completed without sample collection and G quantitative analysis of soil and groundwater beneath the site,as in this study,no statement of scientific certainty can be made regarding latent subsurface conditions which may be the result of on-site or off- site sources. The findings and conclusions of this report are not scientific certainties, but rather, L probabilities based on professional judgement concerning the significance of the data gathered during the course of this investigation. NOA is not able to represent that the site or adjoining land contains no hazardous waste,oil,underground storage tanks,or other latent condition beyond that detected or L observed by NOA during the Surface and Subsurface assessment. The possibility always exists for contaminants to migrate through surface water,air, or groundwater.
