Dear Kathy A1lcn: San Joaquin County is a signatory to San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan (SJMSCP). Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts arc mitigated below a level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP,they will be required to provide alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP. SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-0400681 (MS). This project involves subdividing an existing 141-acre parcel into three parcels:43 acres,48 acres, and 50 acres. The project site is located south of Jahant Road and west of Tully Road;northeast of Lodi, Any future structurc(s)may require the conversion of Multi-Purposc Open Space habitat and as such should condition the project applican (s)to participate in the SJMSCP prior to development. The project is located.within the unmapped land use areas and as per the requirements of the SJMSCP those projects are subject to case-by-case review by the Habitat Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)prior to participation.
