b. APPROVED USE: This approval is for a commercial stable to board and train 17 <br /> horses as shown on the Plan submitted December 8, 1997. The limit of 17 horses <br /> does not apply to the pasture. <br /> c. BUSINESS LICENSE: The applicant shall secure an approved Business License <br /> prior to the initiation of the use. The Business License may be applied for <br /> concurrently with the Improvement Plan application. (Section 7-1000 of the County <br /> Ordinance Code) <br /> d. ANIMAL REGULATIONS: The following animal regulations apply and shall be <br /> provided: <br /> 1. All animal enclosures, including but not limited to pens, cages, and feed <br /> areas, shall be maintained free from litter, garbage, and excessive <br /> accumulation of manure, so as to discourage the proliferation of flies, other <br /> disease vectors, and offensive odors. Premises shall be maintained in a <br /> neat and sanitary manner. (Development Title Section 9-1045.7[b]) <br /> 2. Except for movement on and off the property, animals shall not be kept or <br /> maintained in coops, pens, corrals, or within barns or similar structures, on <br /> property of less than '/3 acre, closer than 40 feet from any rear or side <br /> property line. (Development Title Section 9-1045.5) <br /> e. PARKING: Off-street parking shall be provided and comply with the following: <br /> 1. All parking spaces, driveways, and maneuvering areas shall be surfaced <br /> and permanently maintained with base material of appropriate depth and <br /> asphalt concrete or Portland cement concrete to provide a durable, dust free <br /> surface. Bumper guards shall be provided when necessary to protect <br /> adjacent structures or properties. Areas for the loading and unloading of <br /> horses may be surfaced with a softer dust-resistant surface approved by the <br /> Development Services Division. (Development Title Section 9-1015.5) <br /> 2. A minimum of three (3) parking spaces shall be provided, including one (1) <br /> accessible spaces. .67 space is required for every 1,000 feet of building <br /> area. .67 space is required for every one (1) employee.
