+SAN JOAQUIN FARM BUREAU WERATION
MEETING TOGA Y'S PROBLEMS/PLANNING FOR TOMORROW
fl 1992
September 15, 1992
Mr. Richard Larrouy
San Joaquin Countv Planning Division
1810 E . Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Mr. Larrouy:
Ordinarily we would not comment on the subdivision application
SU-92-14 . However current events in San Joaquin County lead us to
recommend denial of this proposal .
To date San Joaquin County does not have a facility to dispose
of septic wastes . As reported in the Stockton Record, this poses
quite a health hazard for our County residents . We have had a
number of discussions with the Department of Environmental Health
and these talks indicate that the issue has not been resolved.
We find the approval of any additional homesite parcels that
will use septic tanks as unconscionable. Until this issue is
resolved and there is a facility in San Joaquin County willing to
dispose of the waste materials all applications that will utilize
septic systems should be denied.
Since,
PA/AUL M.
