L APN: 007-310-11
/The EDR documents contain aerials for the years 1952, 57, 63, 84,93 & 98. The older aerials
i. show orchard activity. The years 1993/1998 show no ag activity, only farm equipment or related
iron pieces. The Topographic maps are for the years 1953, 68, 93. The site is between the 85' and
90' elevation contours. The elevation drops about 5' in 2500'.
v The SJC Agricultural Commissioner reported no record of chemical use in the past 5 years. Since
the lot was cleaned up prior to the field visit it is unknown what if any containers were present. A
contractor had been hired to clean up the parcel and haul off the "junk".
The Soil Map of SJC published by the USDA indicates the soil type as San Joaquin-Bruella, being
moderately well drained and moderately course textured. The description states: Where this unit is
used for homesite development, the main limitations are depth to the very slowly permeable
claypan/depth to the hardpan.
The State Environmental Records labeled CVRWQCB &DTSC,s Hazardous Waste/Substances
have no active listings on E. Jahant Road, on either list.
The EHD, SIC list labeled USTSMDL(Underground Storage Tank)has no active listings on E.
` Jahant Road. The map Lines of Equal Depth to Groundwater, Spring 99, shows approximately
105'to static water.
The site was again visited on July 18, 2005. Some farm equipment had not been loaded for haul
off. (See Photographs) and a few containers remain to be disposed of or labeled as to contents. It
was about 95%cleaned. The grounds clean up is basically complete. The out buildings contain
"trash", "junk"and several contain what may be dried manure on the floor. It is probable all
structures are unsafe. As the clean up was under way prior to visiting the site it is unknown what
existed in the accumalation resulting from years of gathering the items.
The Environmental Questionnaire was completed and returned. It states the property was
acquired around 1930.
The property detail from the Assessor's office shows the residence was constructed in 1920.
r EVALUATION OF PAST/CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT
OR NEAR THE SITE AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The evaluation does not reveal any potential or known source of contamination for any
reallpotential threat to human health or the environment. The 5 acre parcel size is adequate for
SFR. Commercial activity would need to be reviewed on an individual basis. On the remainder
parcel, additional abatement notices were affixed to various structures. The contents of all
structures should be removed and sorted as the structures are removed. The owner(s)must decide
,r on items to be retained.
2.
