San Joaquin Valley <br /> Unified Air Pollution Control District <br /> August 12, 1993 <br /> xN <br /> Richard Larrouy <br /> Associate Planner IyU3 <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Community Development Department <br /> Planning Division W <br /> ".' <br /> 1810 East Hazelton <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> SUBJECT: SA-93-30 SITE APPROVAL APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A CAPD FUEL <br /> DISPENSING STATION <br /> Dear Sir: <br /> The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District has reviewed the project <br /> referenced above and has the following comments and recommendations: <br /> San Joaquin Valley's air quality relative to National and State Ambient Air Quality Standards <br /> has been designated as a non-attainment area by the California Air Resources Board as <br /> follows: <br /> PM10 Nonattainment <br /> CO Nonattainment (Stockton Urbanized Area only) <br /> Ozone - Nonattainment <br /> The California Clean Air Act, AB 2595,requires counties which are designated non-attainment <br /> to achieve a 5% annual reduction in emissions until the standards are met. <br /> If the project includes an operation for the dispensing of gasoline, then the District's rules and <br /> regulations will apply to this project. Subsequently, the applicant shall apply for an Authority <br /> to Construct and a Permit to Operate for the operation of the gasoline station. It will be the <br /> applicant's responsibility to be in compliance with these rules and regulations prior to <br /> operation. <br /> The District appreciates the opportunity to comment on the project.
