DEPTH OF WATER TABLE :
AVERAGE NATURAL GROUND ELEVATION = 30
AVERAGE WATER TABLE ELEVATION = 10
DEPTH TO WATER TABLE = 20
F
HISTORY OF PAST USES IN PROJECT AREA:
THE PAST AND CURRENT USE OF THE PROJECT SITE AND THE AREAS SURROUNDING
IT IS AGRICULTURAL .
INTENSITY AND EXTENT OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT :
THE OWNER IS SUBDIVIDING APPROXIMATELY 254 . 4 ACRES INTO 6 PARCELS .
EACH PARCEL IS APPROXIMATELY 40 ACRES OF ROW CROPS . PARCEL 1 ALREADY
HAS A HOME AND SOME ACCESORY BUILDINGS . THE EXTENT OF THIS PROJECT IS
TO BUILD A HOMESITE ON EACH OF THE REMAINING PARCELS .
ENGINEER ' S OPINION OF SOIL SUITABILITY :
A PERCOLATION TEST WAS PERFORMED ON ALL OF THE PARCELS . THE TESTS FOR
PARCELS 1 , 2 AND 6 DID NOT PASS THE MINIMUM REQUIRED PERCOLATION RATE
AND WERE RETESTED AT THE LOCATIONS SHOWN ON MAP ( SHEET 9 ) . A POSSIBLE
EXPLANATION FOR THE ABOVE-MENTIONED TESTS FAILING IS THAT THE GROUND IN
THE AREA IN WHICH THESE TESTS WERE PERFORMED COULD OF BEEN COMPACTED BY
THE OPERATION OF HEAVEY EQUIPMENT AT THE TIME THE HIGHWAY WAS
CONSTRUCTED. THE RETEST OF PARCEL 6 ONLY PERCOLATED 1 /4 INCH IN THE
LAST HALF HOUR OR 120 MINUTES PER INCH . PRIOR TO THAT IT PERCOLATED
1-1 /2 INCHES, 1-1 /2 INCHES AND 1 INCH FOR THE THREE HALF HOUR PERIODS
PRECEEDING THE LAST HALF HOUR . THE PERSON PERFORMING THE TEST SHOULD
HAVE REFILLED THE WATER , SINCE 4 INCHES HAD PERCOLATED AND THERE WAS
LITTLE WATER LEFT IN THE HOLE FOR THE LAST HALF HOUR . ON THIS BASIS WE
ARE ACCEPTING THE RATE FROM THE HALF HOUR JUST PRIOR TO THE LAST HALF
HOUR .
FROM THE INFORMATION CONTAINED HEREIN , WE FIND THAT THE SOIL AT THIS
PROJECT SITE IS SUITABLE FOR THE EXISTING AND PROPOSED DOMESTIC SEPTIC
SYSTEMS AND THAT THE USE OF THESE SYSTEMS WILL NOT ADVERSELY AFFECT THE
QUALITY OF THE GROUND WATER .
k M.-'_ QROFEss/
#0 NNCE
r -
2 rrlZ
b4' 7 ; ,3 NO. 14,269
 EXe,3-31-43
J,]glF C/V 1\'
OF c
SHEET 1
