QX-89-0003 <br /> OF FRANK AND HELEN ALEGRE, TRUSTEES. <br /> (FIFTH DISTRICT) <br /> IT IS RECOMMENDED: <br /> That the Board of Supervisors conduct a public hearing to: <br /> n <br /> 1. Deny the appeal and uphold the Planning Commission's approval of Quarry <br /> Excavation permit No. QX-89-0003. <br /> BACKGROUND: ' <br /> This is a Revisions of Approved Actions application to amend Community Development <br /> Department Condition No. 1. a. of a previously approved quarry excavation permit(QX-89- <br /> 0003) <br /> QX89- <br /> 0003)as follows: <br /> The sandbar—skimming portion of the project shall be completed within five(5) <br /> years of the commencement of operations. The ongoing yearly maintenance <br /> skimming to maintain the river sand bat site'rManiatien`shall be permitted for 45 35 <br /> years thereafter. If the excavation does not commence within 18 months after the <br /> date of approval,the permit is terminated. The applicant shall notify the Planning <br /> Division in writing when the sandbar-skimming operations begin. <br /> The Revisions of Approved Actions request is to extend the life of the quarry permit an <br /> additional 20 years. The continuation of the permit will allow for the ongoing maintenance <br /> and stabilization of the levee along the San Joaquin River. <br />
