Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be
modified.
A. Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability study incorporating the proposed
number of participants, indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be
performed prior to issuance of a building permit(s) (San Joaquin County Development Title,
Section 9-1105.2(d)). A review fee of$178.00 must be paid at time of submittal to
Environmental Health Department.
The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin
County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of
septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal
system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$89.00 per percolation hole is required.
NOTE: The Environmental Health Department cannot support the use of chemical toilets for the
sole responsibility of sewage disposal. Their use can be for peak demand need in
addition to a designed restroom and septic system.
B. Construction of individual sewage-disposal-system(s)under permit and inspection by the
Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development based on the
findings of the Soil Suitability Study(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-
1110.3 & 9-1110.4).
Fang
