Dear Ms. Kathleen Allen: San Joaquin County is a signatory to San Joaquin Comity Multi-Spccics Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan(SJMSCP). Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the state and federal endangered species acts. and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA). Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project applicants choose against participating in the S.IMSCP,they will be required to provide alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP. SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-0400358 (MS). This project involves subdividing an existing 76-acre parcel into a 40-acre parcel and a 36-acre parcel. The project site is located south of Kettleman Lane and west of Jack Tone Road;east of Lodi. Any future stnwhtre(s)may require the conversion of Agriculture habitat and as such should. condition the project applicint(s)to participate in the SJMSCP. The project is located within the unmapped land use areas and as per the requirements of the SJMSCP those projects are subject to case-by-case review by the Habitat Technical Advisory Committee(TAC)prior to participation.
