INTRODUCTION <br /> The purpose of this project is to create one 40t acre parcel and one 35t acre parcel from one 75t <br /> acre parcel. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and <br /> Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) is being submitted for application with the tentative <br /> map. This report will investigate the property for visual or historical environmental <br /> contamination based on field observation and testimony from the owners. <br /> Project Description <br /> The project consists of one parcel located at 12400 E. Kettleman Lane, Lodi. The project is in an <br /> agricultural area. It is zoned AG-40. There are no homes on this site. See tentative map <br /> included in the appendix. <br /> The proposed parcel has historically been farmed with vineyards. <br /> Project History <br /> The primary source of information on the historical use of the property is testimony from the <br /> owners and records from the County(San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office <br /> and the San Joaquin County Contaminated Site List). The Scott family has owned the property <br /> ` for approximately four years. This property and all surrounding properties have had consistent <br /> uses in the time the Scott's have owned the property. Consistant uses include agriculture and <br /> rural residences. <br /> A review�y Re��rds for the past four years (see Apendix) yielded no contamination <br /> ` concerns. The property owners also stated that there have been no groundwater concerns during <br /> their ownership. <br /> ` A review of County Records from the Agricultural Commissioners office yielded chemicals used <br /> on the parcel (see Appendix). <br /> ` Field Investi¢ation <br /> The following information was obtained during a field investigation of the site as well as <br /> interviewing the property owners. The field investigation and interview occurred in March, <br /> 2004. <br /> As previously stated, the majority of the site has been vineyards. Chemicals have been used in <br /> the farming operation. Jory Vineyards handles the farming operation. All chemicals are applied <br /> by manufacturer's recommendations and are applied under permit. The operator's pernmit number <br /> is 39-99-3400525. <br /> L According to the owner, there are no buried tanks on the property.
