�,. ... <br /> ti 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> /2.1 Location and Description <br /> The subject property is a parcel to the east of the end of East Kettleman Road in an agricultural <br /> area of Lodi. The property totals approximately 160 acres and was last utilized as farming land. <br /> There are currently no structures on the subject property. Oxy-site operations consist of <br /> agricultural farming. <br /> Heating and cooling systems are currently not present on the subject property due to the lack of <br /> structures. Potable water and sewage disposal are provided by municipal services. <br /> Please refer to Figure 1 and Appendix A for a visual reference of the subject property location. <br /> k2.2 Site and Vicinity Characteristics <br /> The immediately surrounding properties consist of a nursery farm and associated farmland to the <br /> west, and grazing pastures to the north, south and east <br /> ,',1.3 Topography <br /> Information on topography is provided as a general reference. The US Geological Survey <br /> Linden, CA Quadrangle 7.5-Minute Series topographic map was reviewed. The map shows the <br /> subject property is located at approximately 192 feet above mean sea level. The topography of <br /> the region is slightly hilly, and slopes to the west. Based upon regional topography, groundwater <br /> is assumed to flow to the west. <br /> d'2.4 Historical Use Information <br /> By design, the scope of an ASTM Transaction Screen does not include extensive historical <br /> research of the subject property. For this investigation, AEI reviewed limited historical <br /> resources and conducted interviews with persons familiar with the subject property. <br /> The subject property was historically used for agricultural purposes, including the cultivation of <br /> orchard trees. The agricultural nature of use at the subject property presumably involved the <br /> application, storage, and/or mixing of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals at the subject <br /> property. Based on the duration of agricultural use and the tendency of these constituents to <br /> remain in near surface soils, the use of agricultural chemicals may have impacted the subject <br /> property. <br /> ,.Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps <br /> Sanborn Fire Insurance maps were developed in the late 1800s and early 1900s for use as an <br /> assessment tool for fire insurance rates in urbanized areas.
