SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Carl Navarra to conduct <br /> a Soil Suitability Study for the Lavelle property located at 32521 South Koster Road, <br /> Tracy, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the_ <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> The proposed project is a minor subdivision to split Site into a 2.4 -acre homesite <br /> parcel and a 36.90-acre designated remainder (Pla 2). No ge in Site use is <br /> anticipated. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site, Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 255-100-26, is approximately 39 aJres in <br /> size. The County project application number is PA-1100234. The Site r Sists of <br /> orchard with a residence. A domestic well supplies water for the residence. A recent <br /> aerial photograph of the Site is included asPlate <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Surv-ey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 102 to 112 feet above mean sea level (Plate The Site <br /> topography is relatively flat. <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report <br /> (Live Oak, 2011), the Site has been agricultural d nce 1937 or earlier.
