would be 14,730,000 cubic yards. The overburden and clays together total 21,374,917 cubic yards.
Approximately 7.2 million cubic yards of material (including shrinkage factor)would be needed to build out
the slopes from 3/4:1 to 2:1.
Revegetation
Upon final grading, all disturbed areas will be revegetated. Topsoil from the stockpiles would be placed on
all final reclaimed 2:1 slopes and would be revegetated with a non-irrigated hydroseed mix consisting of
80 percent Zorro fescue and 20 percent rose clover. Pit bottoms would be graded smoothly and uniformly
flat and revegetated with an agricultural crop.
End Uses
All reclaimed areas except for the slopes will be returned to land that can be used for agriculture.
Reclamation will be complete when the productive capability of the land is equivalent to or exceeds, for
two consecutive crop years, that of the premining conditions or similar crop production in the area. The
slopes will be open space.
Recommendation
Approval of Project and Certification of FEIR.
San Joaquin County QX-01-2\Lonestar California
Community Development Page 13
