It proposes to generate: more than 100 million tons of sand
and gravel over the 60-year period that the quart? is expected to operate. The project will have an on-site
processing plant and concrete batch plant.
This project,as described, will have potentially significant impact on Interstate 5,and State Route 132,
and possibly State Route 99 requiring a compreherisive traffic study. This will assist us in determining
the exact mitigation measures that maybe necessary. The study should specifically address access
impacts to SR 132 and the 1-5/SRI 32 Interchange, as well as,provide information on truck destinations
and truck routes for this facility. More information regarding our Study requirements can be obtained
through our web site at:
www.dot.ca. op W/hq/traffovs/develoMery/onerationalsystems/reports lis ug ide.pdi'.
Our Environmental Branch requests that you include air quality, dust control, and applicable
transportation issues with mitigation measures Within your EIR.
This project will increase the ambient air pollutio a problem in San Joaquin County. Please be aware that
any increase of negative air quality may well impact negatively on future transportation projects. There
may also be cumulative impacts on the air quality by additional projects located in the Tracy area that
should be addressed within this CEQA document.
L 'Cad a.0 improves r biay across Cdi/or .
e_!mwrmm.,
L
L
