The ADT on SR 132 in the project area is approximately 18,000 vehicles; peak-hour <br /> traffic flow is highly directional,with an approximate 10/90 eastbound/westbound split in AM <br /> r <br /> peak-hour traffic (Caltrans Traffic Data Unit, 2002). <br /> Local Roadway Access <br /> " Local access roads serving the project site include east-west Gaffery Road and Blewett Road, and <br /> north-south Koster Road,McCracken Road,and Bird Road. These two-lane roads generally have <br /> 18 to 20 feet of pavement width,with no shoulders and no posted speed limits. Traffic tends to <br /> travel at or near the State maximum speed limit for undivided highways of 55 miles per hour. <br /> McCracken and Bird Roads are classified as Collector roads,and Gaffery, Koster and Blewett <br /> Roads are classified as Local roads. Traffic volumes on these local roadways are generally light. <br /> Local intersections are unsignalized,with stop sign control on the minor street approaches. <br /> Study Area and Analysis Approach <br /> The study intersections and road segments were determined based on their proximity to the site <br /> r and the amount of project traffic expected.
