Surface and Subsurface Contam nation Report*APN: 251-050-03*Parcel Nos.14 Designated Remainder
A binder entitled"Underground Tank Site Mitigation Database List"also
available in the Environmental Health Department's office was consulted and no
underground tanks were listed in the binder for the subject property that require any
mitigation measures.
According to the aforementioned land use maps and mitigation binder, DBCP,
Nitrate(NO3) and underground tanks do not appear to be contamination contributors on
the subject property.
Well Water Analysis:
There are no wells on the subject property; so no well water sampling and testing to
determine Nitrate (NO3) or Dibromochloropropane(DBCP)concentrations was
conducted as a part of this study and report. Domestic water for the home site situate on
the west side of South Lammers Road comes from property across Lammers Road to the
east.
However,"DBCP and Nitrate—Land Use Maps" available in the Environmental
Health Department's office were consulted. The subject property is located in an area on
the DBCP-Land Use Map where DBCP has not been detected. The Nitrate—Land use
Map show the subject property to be in an area where the nitrate concentrations are
between 21 and 44 ppm.
MitiPation Measures: Since no animals were found on the subject property, no
excessive nitrate concentrations are anticipated from animal overpopulation. Also the
general public will not be drinking water from the subject property as a part of the
planned development; so no correction for excess nitrate concentration is recommended.
No chemical residues or spillage of hazardous materials or improper storages
were noted on the subject property.
Also no recorded failure of the septic systems installed was evident or found to
cause any problems of this type of contamination.
The subject property has been subjected only to the agricultural use of growing
agricultural crops. The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's records indicate
the Tuso family is notifying the proper authorities of intended use of pesticides,
herbicides and are applying them in compliance with the rules and regulations for the safe
use of them.
Also there does not appear to have been any subsurface construction present or
past that would contribute to below ground contamination.
No well water was tested as a part of this study and report to determine Nitrate
(NO3)and DBCP Dibromochloropropane concentrations.
