05 November 2014
AGE Project No. 14-3119
4.1. GROUNDWATER DESCRIPTION FOR THE GENERAL AREA
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District's Lines of Equal
Depth to Ground Water Spring 1999 indicates the depth to ground water is 10 feet or less.
Ground water flow direction locally appears to be north, in the direction of the Old River.
Ground water was not encountered in the 36-inch percolation test hole on 22 July 2014.
Based upon a review of well permit records at EHD by an AGE representative, the total
depth of domestic water wells for the surrounding area was reported to be between 5-feet
and 10-feet bsg.
4.2. GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION IN THE AREA OF THE SITE
The immediately adjacent and outlying land use for the parcel is agricultural in nature.
There are potential ground water contamination issues associated with agricultural uses
and local septic systems. A review of the California Department of Toxics and Substance
Control (DTSC) Envirostor Database and the Geotracker Web site revealed two leaking
fuel underground storage tank (LUST) site within a one-mile radius of the site. The site
has been closed for more than 10 years and is located more than one-mile from the
subject parcel.
4.3. ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION
The existing water supply well was installed at an unknown date with a six-inch casing.
The grout seal was installed from the surface to an unknown. The well will be utilized for
both domestic purposes.
4.4. CONSTITUENTS BEING TESTED FOR IN THE WATER SAMPLE
Nitrate (NO3) constituents were tested in the current groundwater supply well.
4.5. GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION
On 21 July 2014 a sample of the drinking water supplied by the current groundwater
supply well was collected in an unpreserved one-liter plastic container for shipping.
Groundwater sample containers were properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and
transported under chain-of-custody protocols to Cal Tech Environmental Laboratories
(CTEL), a California Department of Public Health-certified laboratory, for analysis Nitrate
(NO#
Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc.
