AGE prepared the attached calculation of waste typically used for septic tank and bio mat loss from
waste. Are these acceptable?
NW Residential = Total nitrogen concentration of wastewater at 45 mg/L-N based on the average
discharge. Accounting for the loss of mg/L-N in the septic tank at 15% 45-15%= 38.255 and the loss
from the biomat at 10% 38.25 - 10% = 34.425 mg/L-N
NW church restrooms = Total nitrogen concentration of wastewater at 85 mg/L-N based on the
average discharge. Accounting for the loss of mg/L-N in the septic tank at 15% 85-15% = 72.25 and
the loss from the biomat at 10% 55.25 - 10% = 45.25 mg/L-N
NW church kitchen = Total nitrogen concentration of wastewater at 45 mg/L-N based on the average
discharge. Accounting for the loss of mg/L-N in the septic tank at 15% 45-15% = 38.25 and the loss
from the biomat at 10% 38.25 - 10% = 34.425 mg/L-N
William Little
California Professional Geologist#7473
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
Environmental • Industrial Hygiene • Geotechnical • Contracting
Phone: 800-511-9300
Fax: 888-445-8786
rmarty(a)advgeoenv.com
www.advqeoenv.com
This email/fax message is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential
and privileged information. Nr results of 0.126 ppm (SFR)appears to be inaccurate, very low figure. May need to recalculate.
2. The Nw NO3 concentrations of 45 ppm for church restroom is too low, should be 85 ppm. Also 34 ppm for
SFR and church kitchen are too low, should be 45 ppm.
3. The 6 BD ADF if 320 gpd to too low, should be 720 gal/day.
Please revise NO3 study and resubmit for approval, Please contact me if you have questions. Thanks.
Frank Girardi, Lead Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton,CA 95205
(209)468-3420
4
