Larch Road, Tracy
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) cannot complete an evaluation of
the referred application noted above based on the lack of information provided on the application and
plot plan. Until and unless adequate information is provided to enable an appropriate evaluation, the
EHD cannot support the approval of the site approval project, as proposed.
The current identified issues that need to be resolved with this project are detailed below.
Application –the application does not provide sufficient scope of development and contains
conflicting information.
1. The application does not provide sufficient information to determine the requirements for water and
sewage. The full scope of activities to be conducted in the religious assembly/multipurpose building
needs to be described in detail, including the activities and building improvements related to the
storage and distribution of food. Any current or future intent to install a kitchen or similar
improvement must be identified at this time, as it will impact the requirements for the provision of
sewage disposal.
2. The application indicates that the existing potable water is served by the City of Tracy, but also
indicates that the existing potable water is served by an existing private well. Additional information
needs to be submitted to describe in detail how the project will be provided potable water. Please
also see the comments concerning the provision of water below.
3. The application indicates proposed public sewage disposal, but provides no service provider. The
application also indicates a new onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) is proposed.
Additional information on the provision of sewage disposal needs to be submitted. Please also see
the comments concerning the provision of sewage disposal below.
Plot Plan –the plot plan provides inaccurate and insufficient information.
1. The OWTS serving the existing residence is not accurately represented on the plot plan. The scope
of the OWTS repair installed in 2002 (permit SR0028824) needs to be accurately represented on
the plot plan and drawn to scale. The 100% OWTS future repair area needs to be accurately
represented on the plot plan and drawn to scale.
2. The 2002 OWTS repair permit (SR0028824) did not show the onsite well at the location shown on
the current project plot plan, but showed it located in north west corner of lot. The current plot plan
shows the well located close to the area where the 2002 OWTS repair is located. This OWTS may
be located within the required setback of the well. These issues need to be investigated further. All
items on the parcel must be represented and drawn to scale on the plot plan.
1868 E.
