10:00 a.m. 2. USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. UP-01-12 OF KRUGER JF FOODS, INC. (C/O F& H CONSTRUCTION). A Use Permit application for a 107.500 sq. ft. building expansion of an existing pickling facility. The proposed building will consist of a 46,467 sq. ft. production area. a 53533 sq. ft. warehouse area, and a 7,500 sq. ft. office. Located approximately 3500 feet from the south side of State Route 4 on a private casement. The easement is approximately 1200 feet west of Drais Avenue. Stockton (APN: 183-140-08: Address: 17750 E. Fire Prevention: Vance and Dave Kruger, Kruger Foods, Inc. and Matt Walker. Engineer hvere present for this item Mr. Fisher introduced the project. Mr. Martin told the applicants that the plan shows a major increase in their operation, and asked if there are an%additional tanks or additional evaporation ponds. Mr. Chelli indicated that they were in the process of separating the waters o ithin the brine area, and on the facility. Mr. Chelli informed staff that the property has deep well injection and indicated the well location on the plan. Mr. Chelli indicated the location of the evaporated ponds on the plan and what each pond was being used for. Mr. Chelli informed staff that there would be additional ponds, and they plan to close over the vapor ponds within a period of five \cars. Mr. Chelli indicated that there would be an increase of tanks. Mr. Martin asked Mr. Chelli if the brine\Nater is injected into the ground water. Mr. Chelli indicated that the brine water is injected about 3400 feet and that the well has a capacity 5400 feet. Mr. Martin asked if the applicants receive a permit from Regional Water Quality Control District. Mr. Chelli stared that the Fcdcral .Agana\ controls the injection \%ell. Mr. Ferrell informed staff that what they pull the Building permit they will supply the Department with the permit information. Mr. Ferrell indicated that according to the information that he received that the Community Development would not be requiring fire sprinklers. Mr. Dalton informed Mr. Ferrell that it will be determined by the Building Code. Mr. Dalton indicated that the fire sprinklers may not be required but the building will need fire flow. Mr. Norgard reviewed Environmental Health Divisions requirements. Mr. Karam revised the Department of Public Works memo item 2. Delete second paragraph. Mr. Fisher informed the applicants that the Conu»unity Development Department will need the Caltrans data before the initial study can be started and that may delay the Planning Commission date. Mr. Karam suggests that the applicants contact Caltrans and sec what they twill be requiring. Mr. Ferrell asked tf partial peruutung of tlhc foundation would be allo\\cd for this project. Mr. Fisher stated that it could be submitted for plan check only. Mr. Martin informed the applicants that partial pernitting could onh be for plan check.
