Other requirements <br /> may also apply. These requirements cannot be modified. <br /> A A soil suitability and nitrate loading study incorporating proposed staff and customer use <br /> shall be submitted to the Environmental Health Department (EHD), indicating that the area <br /> is suitable for septic system usage. The studies must be approved by the EHD prior to <br /> issuance of building permit(s). (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d)). The fee will be based on the current schedule at the time of payment. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the onsite wastewater treatment systems <br /> standards of San Joaquin County prior to approval. A percolation test conducted in <br /> accordance with the E.P.A. Design Manual - Onsite Wastewater and Disposal Systems is <br /> required for each parcel. The fee will be based on the current schedule at the time of <br /> payment. <br /> B The existing wells shall be tested for nitrates with the results submitted to the EHD prior to <br /> issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved <br /> laboratory. (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). <br /> C Construction of an individual sewage disposal system(s) under permit and inspection by the <br /> EHD is required at the time of development based on the Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading <br /> Study findings (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1110.3 & 9-1110.4). <br /> D Applicant shall contact Robert McClellon, Program Coordinator, Small Public Water System <br /> Program, at (209) 468-0332, to determine if this project can be permitted as a public water <br /> system prior to issuance of building permits. If a public water system is required, applicant <br /> shall submit a Small Public Water System preliminary technical report to the California State <br /> Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water (Water Board) at least six <br /> months before initiating construction of any water related improvement, as defined. The <br /> issuance of a permit to operate a small public water system by the local primacy agency <br /> (EHD) is prohibited without the concurrence of the Water Board.
