/The Regional Water Quality Control Board list of 4/1/05 has no entries on N. Jack Tone or E.
Liberty Road. The State DTSC's Hazardous Waste/Substances List does not show any sites on
Liberty Road or N. Jack Tone Road.
/"The depth to static water is approximately 140', as shown on Map-Lines of Equal Depth to
Ground Water published by SJC, Spring 1999.
/The soil description by USDA for San Joaquin County describes the soil as moderately well
drained moderately coarse textured soils. Areas of this type are used mainly for livestock grazing.
(And pasture for other animals.)The soils should be tilled on the contour or across the slope.
The field review was conducted on 5/16/05. Approximately 75 head of cattle were observed on
` the total acreage. The pasture at 26170 N. Jack Tone Road contained most of the cattle. The
OS/RC zoning runs thru the 157 acre and 88 acre parcels on Liberty Road. This type of zoning is
not shown on the 30 acre parcel, which is zoned AL-5. The Liberty Road parcels are zoned AG-
40. The barn and outbuildings at 26170 N. Jack Tone Road are clean except for manure. On the
date of the visit the owner was preparing to move. The operations appear to be phasing out.
Several families live on the 30 acre parcel. (All may be moving.)The Nilsen Farms located at
17200 E. Liberty Road conduct agricultural composting. The site was visited previously and
✓during manure processing the flies are in abundance. The manure piles appear to be located
where surface runoff into Coyote Creek from the manure area would not occur. The general
drainage is westerly along Coyote Creek. The May 25, 2005 Radius Check, page 6, contains very
little information concerning the Nilsen Farms. The UST Hist.,on page 6 indicates in 1978 a fuel
tank was installed for George Pacheco.
- EVALUATION OF PAST/CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT
OR NEAR THE SITE AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION
The research completed and data obtained indicate no environmental issues exist.
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
We have performed a Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment,in conformance with the scope and
limitations of ASTM Practice E 1527 of 26170 N. Jack Tone Road; 13888 E. Liberty Road and
14664 E. Liberty Road, Galt California. This assessment has revealed no evidence of recognized
` environmental conditions (REC) in connection with the property. The water should be tested as
part of the Soil Suitability Study.
2.
