SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY Introduction Live Oak GeoEnyironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Ron McManis to conduct a Soil Suitability'Study for his property located at 16121 East Liberty Road, Acampo, California_oate 1). The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. Proposed Development The proposed project is a minor subdivision to divide the Site into a 10-acre Parcel 1, an 1) approximately 122-acre Parcel 2, and an approximately 80-acre designated remainder. No changes in the use of the Site are anticipated. Site Description The Site is approximately 212 acres in size and includes Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 009-050-04 and a portion of 009-050-03. The Site boundaries are indicated on Plate 2. The County project application number is PA-1100038. The Site consists of young vineyard. A recent aerial photograph of the Site is included as Plate 3. The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is approximately 125 to 170 feet above mean sea level (Plate 4). The Site topography consists of gentle, rolling hills. The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that Parcel -04 of the Site is zoned AG-80, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 80 acres. This zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agricultural enterprises." Past Uses of the Site Based on historical aerial photographs reviewed, the Site has been used for agriculture since the 1950s or earlier. It has been a vineyard since the 1990s. LOGE 1104 Page 1
