SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnyironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Ron McManis to conduct <br /> a Soil Suitability'Study for his property located at 16121 East Liberty Road, Acampo, <br /> California_oate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> The proposed project is a minor subdivision to divide the Site into a 10-acre Parcel 1, an 1) <br /> approximately 122-acre Parcel 2, and an approximately 80-acre designated remainder. <br /> No changes in the use of the Site are anticipated. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is approximately 212 acres in size and includes Assessor's Parcel Number <br /> (APN) 009-050-04 and a portion of 009-050-03. The Site boundaries are indicated on <br /> Plate 2. The County project application number is PA-1100038. The Site consists of <br /> young vineyard. A recent aerial photograph of the Site is included as Plate 3. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 125 to 170 feet above mean sea level (Plate 4). The Site <br /> topography consists of gentle, rolling hills. <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that <br /> Parcel -04 of the Site is zoned AG-80, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of <br /> 80 acres. This zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the <br /> continuation of commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on historical aerial photographs reviewed, the Site has been used for agriculture <br /> since the 1950s or earlier.
