The <br /> Lsamples were then transported on ice and remanded under chain of custody to Precision Enviro- <br /> /Tech, Stockton. <br /> 4.6 Chain of Custody <br /> The Chain of Custody document has been included in the appendix of this report. <br /> L ✓ 5.0 SOIL PROFILE AND GEOLOGIC INFORMATION <br /> ' The Site is depicted on the Preliminary Geologic Map of Cenozoic Deposits of the Clay Area, <br /> L California (1979), as within a region of Quaternary Modesto Formation (upper member) and <br /> Tertiary Ione Formation. The Modesto Formation is a arkosic alluvium forming Mokelumne River <br /> terraces and alluvial fans;chiefly sand with minor gravel and silt;probably glacial outwash. The Ione <br /> Formation is a light colored commonly white conglomerate, sandstone and claystone (Plate 7). <br /> L The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the San Joaquin County Soil Suniey <br /> to be composed of Coming-Redding complex,2-8% slopes,Corning-Redding complex, 8-15% <br /> slopes, Hicksville gravelly loam,0-2% slopes,Yellowlark gravelly loam, 0-2% slopes,Yellowlark <br /> Lgravelly loath,2-5% slopes (Plate 8) (USDA, 1992).
