i-
L December 1, 2004
NOA Project Number: E040117A
4.0 DISCUSSION OF NITRATE LOADING RESULTS
/ 4.1 Total Nitrate Impact
Based on the method and assumptions described, the result of the nitrate loading balance
indicates that the proposed development on the proposed parcels may should not cause a build up
of nitrate in the ground water above 10 mg/L-N over the long term..
'4.2 Methods of Mitigation
Because of the favorable result of the nitrate loading calculation,no mitigation measures are
warranted
r
V/ 5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Our office concludes that the proposed project will not cause a build up of nitrates above 10
4 mg/L-N in the ground water. Though Parcel 2 nitrate result was slightly above 10 mg/L-N (10.1
mg/L-N), we believe that the deep depth to ground water and the presence of cemented fine-
grained soils will add a significant layer of protection. We recommend the ERD guidelines be
` followed for the construction of the septic system.
5.1 Signatures
The signatures of the environmental professionals involved in the preparation of this report can
be found on the cover sheet at the front of this package.
5.2 Attachments
All required attachments and appendices can be found at the rear of this package.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed
in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices.
