INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT The project consists of a 7.38 acre parcel located at 22550 E. Liberty Road, Clements, Ca. The project is in an agricultural community and is surrounded by agricultural land. The property is zoned C-X(commercial). There is one existing trailer home on site. See Tentative Map included ` in the Appendix. The purpose of this project is to divide 7.38 acres into two parcels. The result will be one 4.86 acre parcel and one 2.52 acre parcel. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report(SSCR) is being submitted for approval. This report will investigate the property for visual or historical environmental contamination based on field observation, County records, and testimony from the owners. This SSCR includes minimal chemical analysis. PAST, PRESENT AND PROPOSED FUTURE USES The primary source of information of the historical use of the property is testimony from the owner. Lowell Rathe has owned the property for approximately 11 years. This property and all surrounding properties have had consistent use in the time Mr. Rathe has owned the property. There has been a negligible increase in the amount of residences or other structures in the surrounding area over the years. Research with the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commission has shown no documented pesticides, herbicides or other chemical contamination potentials. IDENTIFICATION OF ALL PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION Past on site potential for contamination includes minimum impact from storage of boats and their motors. There are no buried fuel tanks on the property and no chemical storage. There are no �- above ground fuel tanks. Presently the site includes a storage building, a market, and a trailer home for the operator on the premises. There are no drainage courses through the property. On- site storm water is contained on-site and dissipates through either percolation or evaporation. Past and present off-site potentials for contamination may be the proximity to Highway 88. EVALUATIONS OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION The depth to ground water in this area is approximately 130 feet. Due to this depth, any pesticides, insecticides, and fertilizers would have a minimal impact to the groundwater.
