May 30, 2008 .. <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> MARY'S MINI MART <br /> 21850 EAST LIBERTY ROAD <br /> CLEMENTS, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: LGS080518 <br /> 4.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Greg Wright of Greg Wright Construction to conduct a Soil <br /> Suitability Study for the property at 21850 East Liberty Road in Clements, California (the "Site'. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by <br /> San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and groundwater information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD'5 Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 4.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 021-200-24. The parcel is 4.84 acres in size <br /> (see Plate 1). The county application number is PA-05-857 (SA). The Site is currently used for <br /> a residence and a mini mart. <br /> v <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is <br /> between approximately 170 and 180 feet above mean sea level. The land grades in an <br /> indeterminate direction. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> (http://www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned as C-X (Crossroads <br /> Commercial).
