Mary's Mini Mary 1.41 Page 9 of 10
Our Project Number: LGS080518
May 30, 2008
6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
The soils within the sewage disposal area of the parcel appear suitable for an engineered septic
system. A Civil Engineer will be required to prepare a septic system design for the proposed
parcel unless additional percolation testing, performed under EHD oversight, achieves a
satisfactory rate. Our office has been contracted by the client to prepare engineered septic
system drawings for the property.
v16.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
The proposed property appears suitable for an engineered septic system. Our office has been
contracted by the client to prepare engineered septic system drawings for the site; they are
forthcoming.
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
In summary, the soils within the subject property appear suitable for an engineered septic
system. Due to the fine grained nature of the soil and degree of cementation, the minimum
percolation rate was not achieved. An engineered septic system optimized to mitigate the slow
infiltration rate is required. Our office has been contracted by the client to prepare engineered
septic system drawings for the site; they are forthcoming.
No groundwater was encountered in any of/the borings drilled on the property. The depth to
groundwater was found to be approximately 110 to 140 feet below the ground surface for the
period of Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 based on the San Joaquin County Groundwater Maps. The
domestic water well was tested for Nitrate and DBCP. The results for this sampling are
forthcoming.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed
at the time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed
that the test holes and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in
the general area.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed
in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices.
