Prior to acceptance of application, a qualified environmental professional shall prepare a <br /> surface and subsurface contamination report, identifying any potential source of surface or <br /> subsurface contamination caused by past or current land uses. The report shall include <br /> evaluation of non-point source of hazardous materials, including agricultural chemical <br /> residues, as well as potential point sources, such as fuel storage tanks, septic systems, or <br /> chemical storage areas. If the report indicates there is contamination, corrective action shall <br /> be taken, as recommended in the report and concurred with by Environmental Health prior to <br /> Final Map Approval (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-905.12(a)(c)). <br /> B. Environmental Health Department requires a_Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br /> indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be performed prior to <br /> recordation of parcel/final map (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d)). A Nitrate Loading Study is required, and a review fee of$465.00 must be paid at <br /> time of submittal to Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> NOTE: All percolation tests are to be conducted in areas of proposed engineer-designed <br /> septic systems. All percolation tests art to be a minimum of 100-feet away from <br /> wetland and open space areas boundaries. Prior to approval of percolation tests, a <br /> Parcel Map shall be submitted to the Environmental Health Department with <br /> dimensions of Septage area required by percolation tests'under the San Joaquin <br /> County Sewage Standards,Section 10.3.4.
