The project transmittal did not include information on the proposed method of water <br /> and sewer supply. Will this project include a well and septic system? If so, the City <br /> notes that the groundwater basin for the City of Galt and environs extends from the <br /> Cosumnes River south beyond the Sacramento County line. Due to a cone of <br /> depression that exists east of Galt, the basin has a downhill gradient towards the City <br /> of Galt. Development of additional septic tanks and leach fields in the area <br /> surrounding Galt increases the potential for contamination of groundwater resources <br /> including Dry Creek.
