SA-91-34 OF EARLEEN <br /> GRONROOS (C/O KEN SILVEIRA) <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> Crocker et al Letter <br /> A letter dated July 9 , 1991 form Mr. and Mrs. Crocker was received <br /> by the Development Services Division on July 15, 1991. The letter <br /> was signed by several surrounding property owners and raises the <br /> issues of compatibility with agriculture, noise, safety and health. <br /> Compatibility with Agriculture <br /> The neighbors are concerned over the possibility of one or <br /> more of the dogs getting loose and chasing horses or other <br /> livestock. <br /> Noise <br /> An approved kennel is operating across from the project site <br /> and the letter states that an illegal kennel is also operating <br /> in the neighborhood. The authors of the letter are concerned <br /> about the noise that will be generated by 1175 dogs in a 1/2 <br /> mile radius. " <br /> Safety <br /> The letter indicates that day care service is located adjacent <br /> to the project site. The authors of the letter are concerned <br /> for the safety of the children should one or more of the dogs <br /> escape. <br /> Health <br /> Manure management and disease vector control are issues with <br /> kennels. <br /> Because of the above concerns expressed by surrounding property <br /> owners, the application will be referred to the Planning Commission <br /> for Public Hearing on August 15, 1991. <br /> The following is a tentative list of recommended Conditions of <br />
