As such,we respectfully ask for your consideration
with respect to parking and timing on paved surface as required by County Code. Bes
Concrete has operated since 1991 and is in the business of manufacturing pre-cast
concrete boxes and lids which are utilized to house and protect utilities such as cable,
water and electricity. Most homes have these boxes in their front yard. In 1997,Bes
Concrete Products changed ownership and the new owners are committed to the
transition of this small business to the responsible corporation it has become. Bes is one
of only two companies in Northern California that produce these small utility boxes, a
much needed service industry.
We are requesting a review for less parking area than the County guideline for the
following reasons:
• Our buildings consist of large open areas because of the type of
equipment we use and to allow forklifts and personnel to work in and
around them safely.
• We are also in the process of automating our machines which will
enable us to increase volume without additional employees, and
therefore less employees-per-square-feet ratio.
IMANAGE 342349-1
