Soil Suitability Study Page 9
Sandlot Farms,260 E.Linne Rd.,Tracy CA
' Project No. 692.1
September 18,2014
8.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. A percolation test performed by North American Testing Service was conducted on
each of the 17 proposed lots. Based on the percolation test results and the soil profile, r -
we conclude that the shallow soil percolation characteristics are suitable for standard
design septic sewage systems.
' 2. The nitrate as nitrogen level found in a sample from the onsite domestic water well
was determined by laboratory analysis to be 40 percent of the MCL limit of 1W-
The assumption is made that s sample is reasonably representative of the entire i
724-acre site. Altho# no nitr ing loading calculations were made for this study,
the groundwater ifnpact from construction of new septic systems seems quite unlikely
t to increase the nitrate concentration sufficiently to exceed the MCL limit.
1
3. The groundwater water well sample contains no detectable DBC-P.
8.2 Recommendations
' The results of this investigation suggest that standard septic design is adequate for residential
construction on the proposed 17 parcels.
2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
