However, if dewatering activities are extensive,the Central Valley Regional Board <br /> may choose to cover the dewatering discharge under Order No. 5-00-175, General Order for Dewatering <br /> and Other Low Threat Discharges. <br /> Section 404 Permit Information <br /> If the project will involve the discharge of dredged or fill material into navigable waters or wetlands, a <br /> permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act may be needed from the US Army Corps of <br /> Engineers. If a Section 404 permit is required by the Corps,the Board will review the permit application <br /> to ensure that discharge will not violate water quality standards.
