(Mr.Litchfield has indicated that he will be modifying the marketing package submitted to the Planning Department to include only four events.) According to information on file at the Planning Department, these i` events are anticipated to draw up to 350 visitors and 30 employees each. ( q -et . -s ) /The estimated sewage flow rates for use categories are available from a number of references. The Luses presented below were guided by the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards (2003),Crites and Tchobanoglous (1998), and the EPA Design Manual (1980). The text from Crites and Tchobanoglous (Table 4-2) indicates that the typical office worker (includes commercial workers) use rate is 13 gpd. The EPA text (Table 4-6) indicates the typical use rate is 14.5 gpd for an office worker. Since the Crites and Tchobanoglous information is the most Lcurrent available,our office believes it provides the best estimate of waste water flow for the office/commercial worker category. Therefore, 13 gpd will be used for each employee. /For tasting room customer use, the text from Crites and Tchobanoglous 4-2) indicates that 6. the typical bar customer (in this case, tasting room customer) use rate is 3a d The EPA text (Table 4-6) indicates the typical use rate is 2.1 gpd for a bar customer. Since the Crites and Tchobanoglous L information is the most current available, our office believes it provides the best estimate of waste water flow for the bar/tasting room customer category. Therefore, 3 gpd will be used for each customer. The same rate will be applied to guests at special events. L 4- For restaurant customers,the text from Crites and Tchobanoglous (Table 4-2) indicates that the typical customer use rate is 9 gpd. The EPA text(Table 4-6) indicates the typical use rate is 2.6 gpd Lper meal (each customer presumably order one meal). Since the Crites and Tchobanoglous information is the most current available, our office believes it provides the best estimate of waste water flow for the restaurant customer category. Therefore, 9 gpd will be used for each restaurant customer. L The following table presents the septic waste water uses associated with the Site. The rates presented from the references provide general guidance but do not always reflect a match in usage. Careful examination,professional judgement, and experience are necessary to select a reasonable flow rate estimate.
