Weber Ave., Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
Re: Requirements for Phase 1 of SA-0036 at the Lockeford Winery Site.
Dear Ted:
Per our recent discussions with Mike Huggins and Mike Smith Engineering this letter
serves to summarize our approach in fulfilling the Public Health Services requirements
for Phase 1 of SA-0036 at the Lockeford Winery.
A. The soil suitability study/nitrate loading study is not required at this time. The new
modular home for which a new septic system would be required is in Phase 2 of the
referenced project and is not included in this Building Permit.
B. All rinse water from the winery operations will be collected at an existing central
sump collection point and pumped into existing 33,000-gallon concrete tanks as
shown on the attached plan. These tanks are in excellent shape with no leaks present.
The water will then be analyzed per state and county requirements to determine its
final disposition. All sewage disposal is currently being handled through existing
onsite septic systems.
C. A permit has been secured for the destruction of an existing but abandoned septic
system on the property. This closure will be completed 8-18-00.
D. An existing water well currently meeting the requirements of a public water system is
active on the site. The number of non-resident individuals will not exceed 24 for at
least 60 days per year, nor will the number of service connections exceed four.
